INTERSECT@CMU (Covid-19) - Health (1:00 - 2:00 pm)

COVID-19 raises questions about health care at every level. At the individual level, how might the pandemic affect the balance between personal privacy and public health? At the community level, how have the virus’s disparate effects on different communities exposed deeper societal issues related to health care, health status and inequity? And at the provider level, how has the pandemic changed the practice of medicine?

Conversation among practitioners, academics and community leaders will assess how our health care system is coping with the pandemic and how we can prepare for future public health emergencies.

Game Creation Society - Info Session (6:00 - 7:00 pm)

Whether you’re a complete beginner to or experienced in game making, and regardless of what role you’re interested in, GCS is a great way to get practical and fun experience in making games. Check out and join our FB event at tiny.cc/GCSInfo

The club has two main components: we host general body meetings (Fridays at 6 PM EST) and run multiple game-making projects. General body meetings include game-making tutorials, talks by gaming industry professionals, game nights, and more. Game-making projects are run over the course of a semester, beginning with pitches from club members to a showcase of the games everyone made at the end.

For more information, and to see past games made by GCS members, check out our website: https://www.gamecreation.org/
